Darren Tallent’s impressive hospitality career started when he joined McKibbon in 2011 as a Dual Operations Manager shortly after graduating from the University of Tennessee Knoxville with a degree in hospitality management and administration. Eager to learn and continue growing with McKibbon, he became an Assistant General Manager, General Manager and was recently the Dual General Manager of the Courtyard & Residence Inn Knoxville Cedar Bluff and lead sales general manager for six McKibbon-managed Knoxville hotels. In 2022, he was promoted to the McKibbon corporate team and his current role of Regional Vice President of Operations, leveraging his extensive experience in the field to help support and ensure the success of a portfolio of properties and general managers. Throughout his career, Darren has received numerous awards at his hotels recognizing his leadership excellence, problem resolution, and guest satisfaction, most recently receiving a Regional General Manager of the Year Award which was presented at the 2022 McKibbon One Leadership Conference.
